Mental Load Coaching for Couples
Lighten the Load. Strengthen your Relationship. Feel Supported.
Does this sound familiar?
✔ You’re the one who remembers the doctor’s appointments, daycare forms, and when you’re almost out of diapers.
✔ You’re constantly managing, even when your partner helps—because you’re the one who has to think ahead.
✔ You feel like the default parent, the family’s project manager, and the glue holding it all together.
✔ You love your partner, but resentment is creeping in. It feels like the weight of the household falls on you.
✔ You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and just wish things felt more fair.
If you’re nodding along, you’re not alone- and more importantly, you don’t have to keep doing it all by yourself.
HI! I’M MELISSA
Licensed Therapist + Mental Load Coach
Believe me, I get it.
Welcoming a baby changes everything! There is so much more to do and so much less time to get it all done. It’s a lot and it’s very easy for your relationship to slide into these roles that can become off-balanced.
I see it time and time again. There’s not any ill-intention here, but this is not what you (Mom) signed up for. You thought your partnership was more equal and would be different than how it looked growing up. While your partner fully supports you and believes in equality and a share of household labor, you still find yourself doing most of it, or the one in charge of it all. It’s exhausting, frustrating, and resentment is starting to build up and take a toll on your relationship.
Any attempts to bring it up are met with lack of understanding and defensiveness. You need it to be different but you’re at a loss for how to do it.
I get it, as a married mom to two kids, I’ve found myself stuck in this same place too.
What if you could…?
💡 Stop feeling like the only one who “sees” what needs to get done—and have a true partnership instead.
💡 Share the mental load without constant reminders, nagging, or frustration.
💡 Feel emotionally supported by your partner, not just helped with tasks.
💡 Have a home that runs smoothly without you being the default manager.

Are you ready to lighten the Load?
-
If you and your partner have found yourself in conflict, feel misunderstood and/or just overwhelmed by all things kids and household, then this course can help you! It is designed to be taken together as a couple- either going through the modules together completely, or each person watching the lessons and then coming together to complete the exercise. In order for change to occur, there does need to be active participation from each person of the couple.
-
The self-guided course includes 4 Modules + bonuses that will teach you all about the Mental Load and how to develop and implement a plan that feels right for your family. The course includes videos and written materials.
Online Mental Load Coaching includes the course AND 5 meetings with Melissa, your coach, to go over the information and help you personalize it for your family. Each meeting is for 50 minutes and occurs over 6 weeks. Couples that feel they work best with more accountability and want more personalized support would be better with the Coaching option.
-
This will depend greatly on how fast you go through the content. In this course- faster is not better. It is helpful to allow the content of each module “sink in” before moving on to the next. I recommend to take 5 weeks, taking a week to go over each module. I do include a recommended schedule within the course with this model, however it is always up to you.
-
The course has a combination of video that includes slides and voice-overs, and worksheets/checklists to complete on your own.
For the Coaching Sessions, we will meet for a total of 5xs over an online video for 50 minutes each session. These sessions must be completed within 6 weeks of starting.
Couples are allowed to continue coaching past the 5 sessions for additional cost.
-
You have lifetime access for the course- so as long as the course exists, its yours.
The Online Coaching sessions will need to be started within 60 days of purchase and the 5 sessions are meant to be taken within a 6 week timeframe.
-
I get it, resistance often comes from a place of not knowing and feeling defensive about our own experience and perspective. This course is NOT about bashing men or saying men are in the wrong. The Mental Load has some serious systemic ties that go back many generations, so honestly, it’s not either of your faults that you got here. It modern society, it’s really hard to raise a family, much less have a career and have a life that feels good for you. My hope is that approaching the Mental Load and our responsibilities from a different lens, can help us develop a better system and feel better about it all.
Plus, did you know the more equal the division of labor there is, the more sex couples have?!
I encourage you to share this page with your partner to check it our for themselves. Also, I offer free 15 minute consultations to discuss in more detail and answer any questions you may have. You can reach out here to schedule.
